freehold – a neptune city bait shop owner was having problems with people parking in the lot of his store to patronize a neighboring business. boyce, answering questions posed to him by defense attorney steven nelson, agreed he caused significant bodily injury to the man when he struck him twice with the club — once on the head — in his shop on dec. 2. nelson indicated that the victim, who was not identified in court, suffered bleeding on the brain which later “cleared up.” nelson said the plea bargain calls for boyce to receive a term of probation and that he will be allowed to apply for the court’s pretrial intervention program.
