when i initially looked into the kroger co., i thought it seemed like a nice place to work. if the only reason you show up is for the paycheck, you’ll burn out and be unhappy. you learn the store better, and you aren’t “stuck” in a checklane (granted you get to do buggies and shopbacks as a cc). you need to know what you’re getting into — i always tell people that when you’re interviewing for a job, you (the employee) are also interviewing an employer. the easy process of learning new responsibilities, regardless of whether or not you decide to take that new knowledge & use it to find a better-paying position elsewhere?
you need to know what you’re getting into — i always tell people that when you’re interviewing for a job, you (the employee) are also interviewing an employer. what i would do is get a job at kroger if they offer you one and use that experience to get a job somewhere else about a year or two from when you’re hired. management may take a while to get to know you; you’ll notice them look at your nametag for a while, but the people who can make or break your experience are your department heads and backups- they are the ones who will have your back (if you’re a good worker), get to know you, and help you with whatever you need. but overall it’s a good company that can take you far, with lots of available training and room to “move up the ladder” if you also put in the effort. i am a clicklist associate, my experience has been mostly positive, i work with a great team of people, and i enjoy seeing them when i come to work.
