we listen to our customers and find the things they are looking for.â kingree said there is a close camaraderie among bait and tackle store owners in citrus county. most of the bait stores are on the countyâs westside and cater to saltwater fishing. weâre selling them on catching fish.â itâs important, he said, to stock as much product as possible because when anglers come in requesting a certain bait or accessory and donât find it, chances are they wonât be back. thatâs why kingree said he stocks more of the old-fashioned products that may not be in vogue with fishermen these days. bates, who has to endure the obvious jokes about working in a fishing store, said heâs used to it. kingree said his family got him involved in the business world when he was 16 and that he has developed a fondness for entrepreneurship.
